People just don't want to improve, it seems, and that just puzzles me to no end. So it's not aggression given to aggression on my part. It's why I dread running roulettes on non-healers now and have been kind of turned off from content from all this toxic behavior in defense of poor play.Īnd I'm not being rude about it, I'm explaining these things in chat in decent detail or in shorthand during pulls, EX: "Cure2+stone>cure1x2", "holy please?", "AOE please", "The tank doesn't need that much healing, it's better to heal them when they're below half and dps otherwise", "can you please dps", so on. I've even been kicked from dungeons quite a few times for just offering said advice or asking why the healer isn't dpsing or is curespamming. As for the other half, I'd say only a third of those actually listen and change how they do things, or try to. 50% of the time if a healer is not DPSing, when I try to correct them they turn on me and become aggressive or snide about it, and then most of those times there's some shitty enabler there who backs up their laziness or bad play. Who have you been getting and where can I get these people. You're actually likely to see less healers total depending on what they do to healers with 6.0 (whether they continue down this path of 1-button-dps and excessive healing and homogenization or actually go back to unique kits, which based on the fact that they're confirmed to be gutting the AST sect that actually played like it's own class instead of a WHM clone, the recent SCH chages, and dead silence on healers in general, it's very likely they're sticking with the current mindset of homogenization and 1-button-spam).Īnd honestly, I'd prefer less curespammers in queues, too, so, I wouldn't mind if it didn't cause an increase in healers, because those "new healers" will most likely be going about things all the wrong way (probably due to sqeenix doing a tutorial quest teaching them "Their way" to play healers (read: spam healing spells like we want you to you filthy sch mains) instead of dps most of the time and healing rarely.) there's not a lot of excitement or such for it based off nostalgia or the like, so you won't see a bunch of people new to healing trying it. Unlike Dark Knight and Gunbreaker, which people have tons of nostalgia for or are fan favorites. "Maim and Mend" should be reflected in the abilities as well as the numbers buff of the same name. The particulars aren't all that important and it's something that would have to be workshopped and balanced, but the idea is that since the game already expects "GCD damage then (O)GCD healing" to be the high level healer playstyle, it should actively encourage it. Malefic has a 5% chance of making the next Aspected Benefic do both Sects (yeah I know AST is changing but I'm dreaming here) Ruin/Broil gives a stacking increase to the next Adlo/Succor's crit rate, making it Instant at 10 stacks (max 20). Or if Glare/Holy had a chance of accelerating Lily growth by 3s. it'd be great if it were on Stone/Glare and not Cure I. Currently they're all completely independent, and a few buttons you press whenever you've got nothing more important to do.įunnily enough, SE already has the solution to that but they've just misplaced it. Instead I think the DPS abilities on Healers need more interactivity with the healing ones. I agree that Healers shouldn't have a DPS rotation.
